Community Guidelines

Hooka is a place to log your hookah sessions, discover lounges, and connect with the community — respectfully, honestly, and responsibly. These guidelines apply to every session, photo, review, comment, and profile on Hooka, and work alongside our Terms of Service.

Do

  • Be respectful — disagree without personal attacks, harassment, or hate speech.
  • Keep it personal and factual: log what you tried and how it went. Credit mixes/recipes that aren't yours.
  • Keep photos and reviews focused on hookah, lounges, tobaccos, and mixes.
  • Drink water, pace yourself, and take breaks — treat every session responsibly and encourage others to do the same.
  • Report content or accounts that break these rules using the in-app Report button.

Don't

Safety & respect

  • No harassment, hate speech, threats, or bullying.
  • No sexual, violent, or otherwise graphic content, and zero tolerance for any content involving or sexualizing minors — this is reported to law enforcement.
  • No content from, of, or targeted at anyone under 18.
  • No doxxing or sharing anyone's private information without consent.

No tobacco advertising or promotion

  • No advertising, marketing, or promoting a tobacco brand, product, lounge, or retailer — including sponsored posts, paid placements, discount codes, contests, or incentivized reviews.
  • No selling, trading, or soliciting the sale of tobacco, alcohol, or other regulated goods — Hooka is a social and discovery platform, not a marketplace.
  • No content that glamorizes excessive or binge consumption, or that encourages people (especially anyone underage) to start using tobacco.

Authenticity

  • No spam, scams, fake accounts, or coordinated inauthentic activity.
  • No fake lounges, reviews, or ratings.
  • No impersonating another person, business, or brand.

Enforcement

Reported content is reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 24 hours. Violations may result in content removal, a warning, a temporary suspension, or a permanent ban depending on severity — advertising/promotion of tobacco and any content involving minors are treated as severe violations. See our Terms of Service for the full policy, and email support@hooka.com.tr to appeal a decision.
